Define
To ensure the initial brief was reflective of the school’s vision, we conducted a series of meetings with the management committee, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their goals. A series of surveys were also undertaken with staff and students to establish a more holistic understanding of the broader project aspirations. Understanding the need for increased student capacity, long term growth and a separate male and female campus all contributed to the functional elements of the brief. Parking management was also crucial to the clients due to the site's proximity to a community centre

Delve
Site orientation and physical constraints heavily influenced our design approach, navigating challenges posed by adjacent roadways, rail lines, and industrial areas. Addressing these complexities, alongside parking provisions and accommodating future growth for 1,400 students, demanded a thoughtful design strategy. Before embarking on the design, we conducted extensive research, studying various school models to inform our approach. This included exploring innovative design concepts for multi-storey schools and adaptable, open-plan learning environments.
3
Realise
Given the complex nature of the project, our consultant team was engaged early to ensure service requirements were comprehensively addressed. With limited space, integrating landscape was pivotal in shaping our design concept. Drawing from the site analysis and client input, we envisioned an inward-looking school design, responding not only to external interfaces but also fostering an environment of introspection. Refinement of the design focused on optimising flow for students, parents, and staff across spaces and levels. Regular meetings with the school committee ensured alignment with functional brief requirements.
4
Refine
After finalising the design concept, significant effort was devoted to refining details while staying faithful to our purpose-driven architectural vision. Meticulous attention was dedicated to resolving intricate elements, such as threshold details and the seamless integration of shutters into the facade. Collaboration with service providers and home automation specialists played a vital role in fulfilling the client's vision for a smart, technologically advanced home.
5
Deliver
Throughout the construction process, we encountered typical challenges related to timing, supply and detailing. Our dedicated team collaborated closely with suppliers and consultants to address issues promptly and keep the project on track. This collaborative effort resulted in a cohesive and harmonious design outcome that celebrates the intersection of architecture, interior design, and landscape
